the Holy & the Ivy

We spent our first half of our Christmas hanging out at Danny's parents house just outside of town. It was super relaxing and low key. Even though the photos I took make it look like all we did was make a pie all day, we did do more than that! We made a delicious supper and Gma and Gpa came over. We played skip-bo, watched some movies and played with the dogs. Very chill!

Danny's brother and his girlfriend came into town tonight and we'll all be getting together again with the family tomorrow to play games and do a Christmas exchange. We're also having a contest tomorrow night and calling it the Vincent Family Sock Off. Now, I know how that sounds {hah} but what's going to happen is Danny's G-Ma is going to teach us all how to knit a sock and then once we start we can't correct any mistakes or fix anything and then at the end, G-Ma will judge who has made the best sock!

Should be interesting! I'll be sure to document the festivities!

Back to the Grind!

It was a fantastic few days away from work and the computer but I was so happy to get back on to photoshop tonight and do a little editing!

I managed to completely finish two sessions I've been working on. The first of which is something a little out of the ordinary for me, interior design photography. It was the first time I'd ever done anything like it and I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed it!

The interior designer responsible for this fantastic work is Gwyntie van Tuyl of Emerge Design.

And the second session I managed to top off was with the lovely Alex in the park. We managed to get together for this mini shoot before the weather took a turn for the worse and enjoyed trompsing around in the sun and snow!

We're Expecting Photography Session

This shoot almost didn't happen. I woke up that morning and checked the weather and it was calling for snow and -20C all day. Ang and I toyed with the idea of rescheduling but in the end decided to go for it! I'm so glad we did as the cold and snow was worth it for the frost on the trees and the snowflakes in their hair.

Rudraksha Beach - a Playlist for your Yoga Practice

This could be my favourite mix I've bloogity blogged about so far. Eddie Vedder makes a pretty epic appearance.

Allow your flow to heat you like the sun and your breath to wash you like the sea!

A Special Christmas Wish

Danny's very best friend Lee who is like a brother to me, and his sister Shannon had a very fun request for their Christmas photos this year. They wanted to give their Mum some much needed updated photographs of themselves and of Shannon's little Harlo, but really wanted their personalities to shine through.

I hope you get as much of a kick out of these photos as we did taking them!

I can't help but laugh every time I look at this one!

And of course, a keeper for Mom!
