Things My Camera Saw in Florida

I wasn't COMPLETELY off duty in Florida! Here are a few shots from my Mother's engagement photos...

And here are a few from my own personal collection...

The Times They Are A Changin'

Welcome to the second chapter in the Dan and Ashley story. We just bought a house!

I took this photo on my phone during a drive by creep of the place. They put the SOLD sign on!

Upon returning from our fabulous trip to Flo-rida, we picked up where we left off on the workings of trying to get the place. Post dodging a few curve balls and pulling some strings we found out yesterday that we were approved and went in to sign our lives away!

The place is just over 2200 sq/ft, built in 84' and has a double car detached garage in the back with a loft above it. The house has 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths with all new appliances. Apart from the downstairs bathroom the majority of the cupboards and floors are the originals. Aesthetically, it's a fixer upper, exactly what we wanted.

Surprise! This blog will now host a plethora of renovation and DIY posts!.. jk... or am I?

I took this photo off of Google as I wanted to see what it looked like in the Summer (in 2009). As you can see the owners dug up the two trees in the front at some point, I would have done the same. I'm not sure if this is the current roof as they said it was replaced 4 years ago, whether that was before or after Google took this shot.

Definitely planning on painting/replacing the siding and probably adding in some stone or something. I made this is PS, kinda gives you an idea the potential this place has.

Our possession date is March 25th, giving us a little over a month to pack and prepare! Will definitely have to remember to take lots of BEFORE photos of the place before we start painting and reno-ing!

What a great way to start out 2013!

Still on Holidaze

We're on the last full day of our Florida vacation. Every day has been a blast and it's gone by too quick.
We get home sometime Saturday morning and then have Sunday to rest up and get our minds off vacation mode.
Danny's heading out to camp at the beginning of the week and I've got some photos to work on, emails to send and yoga to teach.
Ill have plenty of photos to post once I get back to my Mac!
